AI infrastructure company Nexthop AI completes $500 million funding, valued at $4.2 billion

Gate News reports that on March 10, artificial intelligence infrastructure startup Nexthop AI raised $500 million in a funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, valuing the company at $4.2 billion after the round. Andreessen Horowitz participated in this round, along with all existing investors including Altimeter Capital and Kleiner Perkins.

Founded in 2024 by former Arista Networks Inc. Chief Operating Officer Anshul Sadana, Nexthop provides network hardware and software for AI data centers. The company is developing networking systems for internal data center connections and inter-data center links. Sadana stated that their technological goal is to handle more network traffic with lower power consumption and achieve lower latency. The company is currently working with major data center operators to develop these network systems to better meet demand.
