THE HOTTEST DEBATE IN THE CRYPTO WORLD: XRP'S FUTURE IS BEING QUESTIONED

Famous investor Andrei Jikh asked tough questions about Ripple and XRP on X on July 30, 2025: despite 300+ bank partnerships, why is on-chain volume low, the issue of volatility, the incentive to hold as a bridge currency, the future of stablecoins, the preference of giants like BlackRock for XRPL, and geopolitical risks (Jikh, 2025).
Ripple CTO David Schwartz acknowledged the slow pace of institutional transition in his responses: "Institutions prefer off-chain, and even Ripple XRPL DEX cannot be used due to the risk of terrorist financing" (Schwartz, 2025).
Schwartz, who views volatility as a positive, argued that a single stablecoin cannot succeed and that XRP will continue to play a bridge role in a multi-coin world (Cointelegraph, 2025).
BlackRock responded to the question by giving the example of Circle's USDC: "Why don't they build their own blockchains? The logic is the same" (BeInCrypto, 2025). It emphasized the neutrality of XRPL in geopolitical risk.
This dialogue shed light on the doubts in XRP's 13-year journey. Ultimately, XRP's future seems to depend on regulation and the diversity of stablecoins.
