Ever notice how more and more project leaders are going all-in on social media? Posting daily updates, memes, personal takes—the whole package.

So here's the real question: Is it a power move that actually builds community trust and ecosystem momentum? Or does it come across as trying too hard?

There's definitely an argument for it. When a CEO is visible and authentic, it humanizes the project. People connect with the person behind the mission. In Web3 especially, community is everything—and that personal connection matters.

But then... there's the flip side. Sometimes it just feels off. Like watching someone desperately chase relevance instead of focusing on what actually moves the needle for their platform.

What's your take? Have you seen this work, or does it mostly just feel cringey?

To be honest, I directly mute those project parties that post memes every day; it's better to focus on creating a good product.

Really, the more I see, the more restless I feel... What about those who post memes every day? Where are the products?

To be honest, those project parties that post memes every day either really have built trust or are just self-entertaining. I've seen many CEOs who post updates daily, but in the end, the product still flops... Some people will indeed trust him because of this tactic, but I value actual delivery more. What annoys me the most are those who treat social media as a performance stage, which makes me feel unprofessional. --- Not gonna lie, I've seen quite a few projects that rely on the founder's persona to hold up, and once the product has problems, it collapses immediately. --- authenticity is really hard to fake... Once you start calculating social media data, it's no longer authentic. --- I think the key is still timing, in the early community phase, this kind of interaction is indeed necessary, but after securing funding, posting jokes daily is absurd. --- Anyway, that's how web3 is, people are more important than the product... Sometimes it's quite ironic.

Ngl, projects with real product strength don't need to post memes every day to ride the hype... Those who post crazily make me more alert.

Ngl, most of the time it's just acting; projects with real products don't need to post memes every day.
