Worth taking a closer look at how fees work across the chain—what they're really for, which projects absolutely need them built in, and which ones don't. Here's the thing: even when a protocol genuinely requires some kind of fee structure for sustainability, the current rates we're seeing are way out of proportion. Take certain token launch platforms operating on-chain today. The fee extraction happening there feels bloated by 10 to 20 times what's actually reasonable. A business model that genuinely relies on fees should still be thoughtful about not squeezing users dry in the process.
