Next year, Ethereum will迎来 a wave of major updates. Glamsterdam hard fork is already underway, and the changes brought by this upgrade are quite substantial.

First, regarding Gas limits, it will be directly increased from the current 60 million to 200 million, more than tripling. At the same time, about 10% of validators will switch to zero-knowledge proof (ZK) validation mode, which can significantly reduce validation costs. It sounds small, but when combined, these changes have a particularly remarkable effect.

From the Layer 1 perspective, Ethereum's mainnet aims to reach 10,000 transactions per second. What does this mean? Currently, achieving around ten to twenty transactions per second is already quite good. As for data blocks, each block may increase to 72 or more, allowing Layer 2 networks (L2) to unleash their true potential—processing hundreds of thousands of transactions per second.

With this combination, the throughput bottleneck of the Ethereum ecosystem is basically solved. This is a good signal for the Layer 2 ecosystem.

Damn, is the gas fee really going to be cut in half? Wait, is this 10,000 TPS serious? Are there really only about twenty transactions now? How did Glamsterdam get its name? It’s a bit hard to hold back laughter. ZK verification feels like the real secret weapon. Is L2 about to take off? My Arbitrum holdings are about to be proud. If it really lands, the DeFi ecosystem will have a second spring. Talking about tripling the gas limit easily—will the actual situation be this optimistic? Hundreds of thousands of transactions per second, sounds like science fiction. By the way, when will this upgrade go live? Can we avoid another delay? The Ethereum ecosystem is about to start bragging again. It feels like they’re trying to prove themselves again after the merge.

Whoa, Gas has tripled, if this is real, L2 is really taking off --- 10,000 transactions per second? That's a bluff, don't let it be another missed deadline --- ZK verification is indeed interesting, but whether it can be implemented is the key --- Another hard fork, various upgrades—when will Ethereum really become usable? --- Layer2 finally has a chance, friends who are optimistic about Sol should be worried --- Tripling the Gas limit sounds intense, but could it just be on paper? --- Verification costs have come down, but will it truly be affordable for users? I remain skeptical --- Hundreds of thousands of transactions per second—if achieved, the crypto landscape might change --- Glamsterdam, what kind of name is that? Don't be another case like last time—big talk, little action

This Ethereum upgrade sounds good, but will it be delayed again when it actually goes live?
