Bitcoin has only fallen for two months, but it feels like the entire crypto world is about to end.
Every time, I hear the phrase "this time is different." It reminds me of a former crypto observer's comments in 2019. He said that altcoins have no future prospects, and mainstream altcoins only gain a few times their value, which is considered a top.
And what happened? After 2020, coins with dozens or hundreds of times gains appeared everywhere. His prophecy was completely wrong.
Thinking back now, every cycle someone says "we can't go back to the way it was," yet each time, the expectations are shattered. That's just how the market is—during bear markets, pessimistic consensus is more likely to form; during bull markets, greedy consensus is more common.
There's an interesting phenomenon: people who pay close attention to market trends often can't make money. Because the more frequently you watch the charts, the easier you are to be scared by short-term fluctuations, and the more likely you are to make decisions at the worst possible moments.
