The US aid to Israel is about 0.05% of the Federal budget. ($3.8B out of $7T.)
And it's about 2% of the Israeli budget. (0.5% of the GDP)
It's not as important as it was in the 1970s, when it was 20% of the budget.
The aid comes with many restrictions and dependencies. And it angers some American taxpayers, who doesn't understand that the aid helps the US economically and strategically.
Maybe it's time for Israel to request to end the aid?
