Two gold-backed token products worth paying attention to: PAXG and XAUT both promise 1:1 gold reserves, but they have significant differences in actual operation.

PAXG is issued by Paxos and mainly traded on the Ethereum network. This product emphasizes US domestic compliance and institutional-level trust endorsement, often gaining recognition among traditional financial institutions and conservative investors.

XAUT is supported by Tether Gold and deployed across multiple blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Tron, and others. This multi-chain deployment offers more flexible liquidity options, in a way providing users with greater trading flexibility.

The core differences are not only in the issuer but also involve custody mechanisms, counterparty risk, network liquidity, and other dimensions. PAXG tends to favor the stability of traditional financial style, while XAUT offers broader usability and application scenarios within the Web3 ecosystem.

Both are effective digitalization solutions for gold assets, but the choice depends on your specific needs—whether you pursue endorsement from traditional institutions or value liquidity and flexible deployment in multi-chain ecosystems.

nah the "1:1 backing" narrative is exactly where they get you... who's actually auditing the vaults? Paxos plays the compliance card but that's just regulatory theater tbh, and Tether's multi-chain thing screams liquidity fragmentation waiting to exploit MEV gaps. the real dark forest moves happen when these pools dry up during market chaos.

Honestly, XAUT is still more attractive. Multi-chain deployment is really so convenient.

Honestly, I don't trust Tether's gold product... Paxos at least has backing from the US side.

Gold coins, to put it simply, are either choosing Paxos's insurance or betting on Tether's liquidity.

What is paxg still bragging about? XAUT is the right path, and multi-chain is the future.
