Oh my god, the crypto world has been so lively lately! 🤯 I just saw that the Uniswap UNI burn proposal was passed with an overwhelming majority (1.25 million votes in favor vs 742 votes against). What does that mean? It feels like a nationwide vote where 99.99% of people raise their hands in agreement, so what are the 742 votes against doing 😂?

But honestly, there's a question I didn't understand at first—they want to burn 100 million UNI tokens and turn on the protocol fee switch. What does this mean for a newbie like me? Will it make UNI more valuable? Or is this a deflationary mechanism, similar to Hyperliquid burning 10% of its circulating supply before?

I also took a look at Maple Finance's data. Their lending product Syrup's outstanding loans jumped from nearly zero in June to $1.5 billion! 🚀 Is this the sign of DeFi lending market recovery? It feels like the entire lending sector is accelerating. But behind such high growth, is risk also accumulating? Can someone explain why the protocol fee switch mechanism is so crucial?
