#密码资产动态追踪 🔥Ethereum core developer announces strategic shift: from infrastructure development to application innovation

Recently, there has been a noteworthy development in the Ethereum community. Tim Beiko, a key figure responsible for protocol development, revealed that he will focus his efforts elsewhere—instead of delving into underlying technology, he will explore the application potential of Ethereum in real-world scenarios.

This seemingly ordinary career change actually reflects a deeper judgment: as a foundational public chain, the protocol layer of Ethereum has reached a relatively mature stage. In other words, "the house's foundation and main framework are already in place," and now it's time to consider how to live and use it.

Beiko said something quite interesting: everyone should think together—what kind of things can only be realized on Ethereum's permissionless, verifiable, and highly secure computing network? This is actually hinting at a shift in direction—from asking "how do we build Ethereum" to "what can we create with Ethereum."

What does this mean? My understanding involves three aspects:

**The ecosystem enters a new phase**: Once infrastructure is stable, innovation at the application layer and scenario implementation become the focus. Applications that truly leverage Ethereum's unique attributes—such as global settlement, strong consensus mechanisms, and a rich asset layer—will gradually become the centers of value.

**A clear signal for developers**: Don't just get caught up in technical details; it's time to use your imagination to build new on-chain applications—things that are unimaginable in the Web2 world.

**Where are the value hotspots**: The most promising projects in the future will be those that fully utilize the features of the $ETH network while solving real needs.

In short, this is a good sign. Once the foundation is solid, it all depends on who can draw the better blueprint. Which type of application do you think is most likely to break through first and become the "killer app" that can only exist on Ethereum?

Once the foundation is laid, it's time to think about how to make money, to put it simply.

Once the infrastructure is in place, it's time to think about making money—that logic makes sense. The breakthrough should still be in finance; everything else is too abstract. Wait, does this mean ETH is about to start telling a story? The real killer applications should have already appeared; it's a bit ridiculous to still be asking this question. Global settlement sounds impressive, but how many actually use it? I'm still optimistic about those solving real payments; compared to the fancy tricks of DeFi, they are more promising. Sounds good, but isn't it just to pump up the price? Don't fall for it.

Haha, finally someone is starting to figure out how to use it. The group of people who were stuck on the technical details before drove me crazy.

Once the infrastructure is stable, it's time to look at the applications. The logic makes sense. But to be honest, where are the killer applications?
