What are crypto enthusiasts most afraid of?

It's not watching the K-line halve in value, nor is it getting liquidated overnight on a contract, but rather the hard-earned real money turning into fiat currency and then being stuck, unable to withdraw.

Recently, an older brother came to me late at night, barely able to speak—after converting 500,000 USDT into fiat and depositing it, his bank card was frozen the next day, and all non-counter operations were disabled. The money was truly earned, and it was truly frozen. This feeling is more suffocating than a liquidation.

The funds haven't lost value, but they can't be moved—that feeling is something only those who have experienced it understand. Even more absurd is that he only conducted normal OTC transactions, never involved in any gray industries, yet he was implicated by a scammer's funding chain. Now, these illegal elements especially like to use ordinary traders as "fund receiving endpoints." When police investigate, they usually freeze accounts in the middle of the chain first, then check each one individually.

If you encounter this situation, don't panic; most problems can be solved. The key is to cooperate actively with the police investigation, organize evidence such as transaction screenshots, chat records, and transfer receipts. Once your innocence is proven, the freeze will be lifted—though this process does indeed take time and effort.

The real skill in the crypto world isn't just making money, but being able to withdraw it safely. My approach is: apply for a dedicated OTC withdrawal bank card, which is strictly not used for daily expenses or transfers to friends and family—dedicated card for dedicated funds. Only work with long-term, reputable trading partners, and never get tempted by better exchange rates from unfamiliar accounts. When withdrawing large amounts, split into several transactions, transfer in stages, and wait 48 hours after arrival before moving again.

Understand this principle: making money is only the first half; safely withdrawing and securing the funds is the true victory. The crypto race is never just about technical skills and trading strategies; it also tests risk awareness and maturity. Those who can protect their profits and truly hold their funds are the veterans in this market.

I've heard of many such cases. Bank card freezing is truly a nightmare experience, more despairing than a margin call explosion.

On-chain data shows that the risk factor during the withdrawal process is actually higher than during contract liquidation, which is indeed counterintuitive... It is worth noting that frozen accounts are often located in the intermediate stages, and from a coding perspective, they are treated as "hot wallets."

If your card gets frozen, it's all over, no matter how much you earn. The trick of dedicated cards and dedicated funds is brilliant; you should learn from it.

Damn, this is a nightmare. Having the money earned frozen is even more painful than losing it directly... That's why I never rush when it comes to OTC now. Take it slow... Honestly, withdrawing funds requires more skill than making money, really... Another one caught in the crossfire, it's sad, but we really need to cooperate with the investigation... I think the 500,000 limit is indeed easy to attract attention. I need to be more cautious in the future...

Speaking of which, frozen cards are really more exhausting than liquidation. Earning money that you can't access is basically a waste. What can I say, you need to keep your eyes open and find reliable trading partners. Don't risk everything just for a small exchange rate difference. This incident has indeed reminded many people that securing your profits is more important than anything else. Making money is just the beginning. Getting your card frozen is truly despairing. Working with the police to investigate thoroughly is the only way out. It seems I need to learn how to split orders and withdraw in parts. Diversifying risk still makes sense.
