Patience wears down impulsiveness; rules keep greed in check.

I've seen too many people enter the contract market with shining eyes, thinking it's a cash machine. Before long, they are caught off guard by the market. Impatient, greedy, reckless—one by one, they are filtered out. Those who survive are not the smartest, but the most disciplined.

When I first entered the contract market, I met an experienced trader who had blown up countless positions, and at his worst, he relied on friends for food money. But he managed to crawl out of the mud. He once told me, "Don’t treat contracts like a casino; it’s a filter for people." I didn’t understand it at the time, thinking he just had bad luck. Only after I stepped into the pit myself did I realize the weight of those words.

The core lessons I gained from real money are these two:

**Protect your profits; it’s more important than chasing unrealistic gains**

Many people open positions hoping to double their money, staring blankly at distant numbers on the screen. The real profit is what you can put in your pocket. My habit is to take out a portion of the principal once profits exceed 60% of the expected return, leaving the rest to run. This way, no matter how the market reverses, this position won’t turn into a loss.

**When the market is crazy, slow down deliberately**

Large fluctuations mean high risk. The more terrifying the trend, the deeper the trap. When a certain coin plummeted last year, several friends trading contracts rushed to buy the dip, only to get buried halfway up the mountain. Those who truly survived were the ones who paused first during market panic, observed, and only acted when emotions stabilized. This is the survival rule of the contract market.

Really, I've seen too many people go all-in and then drop out of the scene. Rules are meant to save lives.

Honestly, I've heard these words too many times, but only when I lose money do I truly understand.

It sounds very rational, but when the market moves, it's still easy to get carried away.

Ultimately, it's a mindset issue; greed will catch up with you sooner or later.

Really, the more anxious you are, the worse it gets. I've seen too many people wander in sleep and wake up to find they've lost everything.
