Rethinking the Architecture of Decentralized Stablecoins
Excessive reliance on fiat currencies remains one of the biggest challenges in decentralized finance. Current mechanisms rely too heavily on oracles and staking, creating critical points of failure that weaken the ecosystem.
True innovation in DeFi involves a complete redesign of stablecoins. New anchoring approaches need to be explored, vulnerabilities related to external data should be reduced, and security models that are less dependent on centralized guarantees should be envisioned.
Emerging proposals suggest experimenting with hybrid mechanisms, more sophisticated rebalancing algorithms, and more distributed governance. It is by questioning current fundamentals that DeFi will progress toward genuine decentralization.

oracle dependency is just centralized with extra steps lol... who's actually auditing these feed operators anyway? the whole thing reeks of governance attack vectors waiting to happen

Oracle dependency is really a big pitfall; many projects rely on this thing to keep going... It's only a matter of time before something goes wrong.

Oracle dependencies are really a cancer; they should have been cut long ago.

Honestly, oracles are our Achilles' heel in DeFi. Repeating this over and over, no one listens.
