The US crypto regulatory landscape has new developments. A leading venture capital managing partner recently publicly supported the "CLARITY Act." What does this move signify?

In simple terms, the "CLARITY Act" is far more than just a regulatory framework. Once implemented, the US crypto market will undergo a thorough reshuffle—projects and tokens that fail to pass the "decentralization certification" will basically be unable to operate in the US market. Scam coins and middleware applications will have to step aside.

The benefits of this approach are obvious: investors will finally be able to see clearly what constitutes genuine DeFi and what is just an empty shell. The market will enter a true "institutional-grade DeFi" era, where large funds will feel confident to enter. This also means that the US's regulatory influence in the crypto space is becoming increasingly strong.

But the question is—what is the cost? The most attractive aspect of crypto initially was its permissionless freedom. Once regulation tightens, this feature will be somewhat compromised. Is this a sign of industry maturity and upgrade, or a gradual handover of pricing power to traditional finance? There is no absolute answer to this question, but it is worth deep reflection for every participant.

Uh, isn't this just the big capital's trick to harvest small investors, under the guise of "clearing out trash coins"?

Another new trick to harvest the leeks, huh? Saying "decentralized certification" isn't just about setting rules for big institutions?

Another new trick to cut leeks again. The nice term is "decentralized verification," but essentially it's still centralized power. Liquidity now has to listen to CEXs. What is Web3 anymore?

This move, to put it simply, is about dividing retail investors into different tiers. The big players can finally sleep peacefully. --- Wait, isn't this turning into Web3 2.0? We originally entered the crypto space to escape this system. --- Laughable, decentralized verification sounds like installing a "security check" gate in the crypto world. --- Regarding the cleanup of trash coins, it sounds like survival of the fittest, but in reality, it's just big fish eating small fish. --- It has truly become a division between "certified coins" and "black market coins," a old trick with a new disguise. --- Institutional-grade DeFi is here. As a retail investor, I wonder if I’ll be kicked out. --- The freedom of permissionless access is gone. So, what are we still fussing about here? --- Supported by top-tier venture capital, what does that mean? The rule makers have already predetermined the outcome. --- Once regulation tightens, those vapor projects will really have no way out, but we haven't had a good day either. --- Instead of waiting for a shakeout, why not hop on before it gets tighter... No, I’m starting to think about cutting the leeks again.

Uh... US regulators are causing trouble again. Cleaning up junk coins sounds great, but will it really be implemented? Freedom will be gone.

Here comes a new trick to cut the leeks again. As soon as US regulations tighten, the crypto world starts playing both sides.

Well... The CLARITY Act is really going to wipe out a lot of projects, the end of trash coins is here. --- Honestly, institutional involvement is good, but the reduction in freedom... it’s a bit uncomfortable. --- Haha, decentralized certification? Feels like a new power game. --- Wait, isn’t this just traditional finance trapping crypto? Just a different name. --- I just want to know, what can retail investors still play with... --- The US wants to monopolize the discourse again, same old trick, brother. --- Is this a washout? Or real regulation? Who can tell for sure... --- Institution-level DeFi sounds good, but it feels further and further from us. --- Venture capital leading support, these people must have been prepared long ago. --- I don’t oppose the death of trash coins, but what about the true spirit of decentralization...
