According to the latest market data, the market has experienced quite volatile fluctuations over the past 24 hours. The total liquidation amount across the entire network reached $101 million, with longs being liquidated for $54.04 million and shorts not faring much better, with $46.72 million in liquidations.
Looking at the main cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin longs were liquidated for $2.86 million, while shorts were liquidated for $1.68 million, indicating that longs are under greater pressure. The situation for Ethereum is the opposite — longs were liquidated for $3.00 million, but shorts were hit even harder, with liquidations reaching $5.53 million. Ethereum shorts are having a tough time right now.
The most heartbreaking part is that in just 24 hours, a total of 87,935 people worldwide were liquidated. The largest single liquidation occurred on Hyperliquid's FARTCOIN-USD trading pair, where a single order was liquidated for $1.4581 million. Although such extreme cases are rare, they serve as a reminder that leverage trading should still be approached with caution.
