Recently, we've seen violent surges in coins like RIVER and FHE, and many people are asking where the next opportunity lies. I want to share from my own trading experience how to seize these short-term explosive profit opportunities.

Honestly, there are only two ways for ordinary people to make money in the crypto space. One is for those with large capital, focusing on stable returns—money flows to the low. The other is for us small to medium investors, heavily holding a coin during a trend, then quickly accumulating capital to turn things around. For most people, only the second method is feasible.

My advice is: focus on new coin contract opportunities launched within six months in 2026. Why? Mainly for three reasons:

**Volatility caused by time difference**. Major exchanges usually list contracts before spot trading, during which prices are most chaotic and volatile. Once spot trading opens, the frenzy from early on has often passed. So, the initial period after contract launch is the best window for profit.

**High capital concentration**. These platforms' contract depth and trading volume far surpass others, with big funds and quantitative institutions all clustering here. The more concentrated the funds, the easier it is to create extreme market movements, which can drive the entire network's price.

**The game of funding rates**. When new contracts launch, popularity often tilts heavily in one direction, causing funding rates to spike to 0.3% or even over 1%. Both longs and shorts hedge fiercely, creating plenty of arbitrage and hedging opportunities.

Overall, new coin contracts tend to have less trapped positions and more concentrated funds, making violent market moves more likely. Instead of aimlessly exploring, it’s better to systematically analyze recent new coin contracts and look for signs of accumulation. Maybe you’ll find the next RIVER.

Finally, as an experienced trader, I want to share some painful lessons: going long always offers more opportunities than shorting. After choosing the right coin, be patient—true profit opportunities are rare in a year. Trying to make big money every day only leads to obsession. Once you determine your direction, the biggest test is your mindset—you need lots of practice in holding your positions. Short-term trading seems easy, but long-term is the real way to make money, and it’s extremely against human nature. Most importantly, don’t take loans, don’t use credit, don’t leverage on your credit card—overleveraging only leads to bigger losses. In the end, you’ll realize that the more you force in this market, the deeper the trouble you create.

I've already played the new coin contracts before. To put it simply, it's just gambling on the market maker’s mood. When the funding rate soars to 1%, that's actually the most dangerous time. During a wave of extreme market movements, the retail investors are still the ones getting chopped.

It's the same story with new coin contracts again. When will I be able to escape from this cycle?

Here comes another attempt to lure me into new coin contracts... If you're planning to bankrupt me next time, just give me a heads-up so I can prepare a coffin in advance.

The contract was indeed chaotic in the beginning, but I'm more worried about a dump. That wave of RIVER was probably also survivor bias.
