Hainan's 5 daily consumer goods duty-free stores are about to open. The first batch of daily consumer goods duty-free stores in Hainan is here.
Today (February 6), at a press conference held by the Hainan Provincial Information Office, it was announced that the first five duty-free stores for daily consumer goods in Hainan Province will officially open on February 11. Regarding consumers’ concerns about duty-free limits and product categories for daily consumer goods, a relevant official from the Hainan Provincial Department of Finance stated that the annual duty-free purchase limit per person should not exceed 10,000 RMB. As for product categories, the list mainly includes fast-moving consumer goods that are frequently purchased by residents on the island, with moderate value and easy to perish, covering 202 tariff items to meet various daily needs such as eating, dressing, and using. According to policy, the “zero tariff” benefit policy for daily consumer goods applies to residents within Hainan Island, specifically referring to Chinese citizens holding a Hainan ID card, Hainan residence permit, or Hainan social security card, as well as overseas personnel working and living in Hainan with residence permits.
