Odaily Planet Daily reports that the perpetual contract exchange QFEX has completed a $9.5 million seed round of funding, led by Yuri Sagalov of General Catalyst, with participation from Paul Graham, Y Combinator, and others. Other investors include Nexus Ventures, Moonfire Ventures, Goodwater Capital, Liquid2 Ventures, 468 Capital, Ritual Ventures, and angel investors.
The QFEX team members come from top quantitative trading firms such as Citadel, Jump Trading, Optiver, Jane Street, Tower Research Capital, and Flow Traders.
