I bought my house at the peak of the housing market in 2021. More than half of the community are investors, so my neighbors on all sides are tenants.

The upstairs is okay, not much noise, but their air conditioner is terrible. In winter, there’s a low-frequency resonance that buzzes loudly, almost driving me crazy.
On the left is a shared rental, where a three-bedroom has been forcibly divided into six rooms, with nine people, one dog, and two cats living there.
On the right is a family of three, with clutter everywhere, including the corridor.
The unit below is a simple rental, with no range hood or anything, and I work night shifts, so cooking late at night often makes me choke on the fumes.
Oh, right, I think life is okay. The reason I bought a house is to have a home, so my current goal is to make money to buy a better place with a nicer environment. I can’t change the environment I’m in now, but I can only change myself.
