Guanfawang News: On March 4th, China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings Co., Ltd. announced the completion of the term of its independent director.

According to the announcement, Kong Ying has served as an independent director since March 5, 2020, and has served continuously for six years.

According to the “Guidelines for the Management of Independent Directors of Listed Companies,” the term of an independent director shall not exceed six years. After Kong Ying’s term ends, he will no longer serve as an independent director of the company’s Fourth Board of Directors or hold any positions on the board’s specialized committees.

The announcement states that, due to Kong Ying’s departure, the company’s number of independent directors will fall below the required level. He is required to continue performing his duties as an independent director and on the specialized committees until a new independent director is elected by the shareholders’ meeting.

China Merchants Shekou said the board of directors will complete the re-election as soon as possible.
