AI data center operator IREN has agreed to purchase over 50,000 NVIDIA B300 GPUs, expanding its AI computing cluster by approximately 50% to around 150,000 units. These hardware components will be deployed at its data centers in Canada and Texas by the end of 2026, with the additional capacity expected to generate over $3.7 billion in annual AI cloud revenue. The company has also filed for a potential $6 billion stock issuance, which caused its stock price to drop 5% in pre-market trading due to market concerns over equity dilution. IREN has raised approximately $9.3 billion to fund its expansion plans.
