Chinese Permanent Mission to the United Nations Counselor Teng Fei said in an explanatory statement after the emergency special General Assembly vote on the draft resolution “Supporting a Durable Peace in Ukraine” on February 24 that at this critical juncture, China hopes the international community will create a favorable atmosphere to promote political resolution of the crisis and hopes the General Assembly will play a constructive role in building consensus among member states for peace.
