Trump says strikes on Iran could last four weeks

March 2, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a routine press conference. An AFP reporter asked, “U.S. President Trump yesterday stated that strikes on Iran could last four weeks. What is China’s response to this, and what message does China want to convey to the U.S.?” Mao Ning said, “China has repeatedly expressed its position. We urge all parties to immediately stop military actions, avoid further escalation of tensions, and work together to maintain peace and stability in the Middle East and the world.” (Beijing Daily)
