The UAE has issued a strong condemnation of an attempted Iranian ballistic missile launch aimed at Turkey, calling it a dangerous provocation and a violation of national sovereignty.

In an official statement released Thursday, the UAE Foreign Ministry described such actions as a “serious escalation, a blatant violation of state sovereignty, and a direct threat to regional security and stability.”

Abu Dhabi also warned that the “expansion of attacks to additional countries is unacceptable and condemned under all legal and political norms, and constitutes a serious escalation that undermines de-escalation efforts and increases regional tensions.”

The condemnation comes after Ankara disclosed on Wednesday that the Turkish National Defense Ministry confirmed a ballistic missile launched from Iranian territory targeting Turkish airspace was successfully intercepted and neutralized by NATO air and missile defense systems operating in the Eastern Mediterranean.

This incident marks a significant flashpoint in an already volatile region, with the attempted attack prompting swift diplomatic backlash and raising urgent questions about Iran’s intentions toward neighboring countries.
