The meeting was connected via video with the Yellow River Water Resources Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources to analyze and assess the development trend of ice formation on the Yellow River and the defense situation, and to deploy targeted measures for ice prevention on the Yellow River. Li Guoying pointed out that, according to forecasts, the entire section of the Yellow River in Inner Mongolia will open to water by mid-March. During this period, temperatures will first drop and then rise, with significant fluctuations, and the risk of ice flooding on the Yellow River will enter a period of concentrated outbreak. The goal of ice prevention on the Yellow River is to "ensure the safety of people's lives and property, and to prevent breaches in the dikes of the main and tributary streams of the Yellow River."
