A new report from subscription management company RevenueCat questions the assumption that "artificial intelligence integration guarantees app success." The study analyzed over 1 billion in-app transactions and found that AI-driven apps have a 52% higher conversion rate of trial users to paying users compared to non-AI apps, and the average revenue per user per month is also 39% higher ($18.92 vs. $13.59). However, AI apps face challenges in long-term user retention, with an annual user churn rate 30% higher and a 20% higher refund rate, indicating difficulties in continuously delivering value to users.
