The U.S. Senate confirms Joshua Rood as Director of the National Security Agency

On the 10th local time, the U.S. Senate confirmed Joshua Rood as Director of the National Security Agency with a vote of 71 to 29, also appointing him to lead the U.S. Cyber Command, ending the long vacancy in that position. Rood previously served as the deputy commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, with the rank of vice admiral.
