Corteva Agriscience is set to launch its first hybrid wheat seed product in 2027, aiming to significantly boost wheat yields and resilience, particularly in water-limited environments. This new technology promises a 10-20% yield advantage over current varieties and is conventionally bred, addressing a long-standing challenge in wheat production. The company plans to expand into different wheat classes by the end of the decade, allowing wheat growers to catch up with genetic progress seen in corn and soybeans.
