Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian held a phone call with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna. The two sides exchanged views on the current U.S.-Israeli military actions and regional situation.

Abdollahian pointed out that provocations by the United States and Israel are the fundamental reasons for instability in the region and the Strait of Hormuz, and strongly condemned aggressive attacks targeting Iranian military facilities. He emphasized that Iran’s defensive actions are solely aimed at military targets of aggressors and not at regional countries.

He also stated that the turmoil across the region, including the situation in Lebanon, is rooted in Israel’s hegemonic expansion. He called on the international community to adopt a responsible attitude to prevent further escalation of conflicts. Iran welcomes any regional initiatives that can justly end the war.

Additionally, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement saying that in the ongoing war with Israel and the United States, they will target Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The statement said that if this child-killer remains alive, they will continue to pursue and eliminate him.
