In China, we've been studying English for over 10 years, still struggling with the CET-4 exam, and remaining "dumb English speakers" who can't communicate. Yet randomly pick a young child, throw them abroad or into an international school, and in 2-3 months they're communicating in English. After a year, they speak naturally and fluently. They read books, watch videos, and speak English so effortlessly it's incredible. There must be something wrong with the domestic education system. Foreigners don't learn English phonetics, memorize vocabulary, and pass multiple-choice questions this way. We study so much but can only do multiple-choice questions and fill-in-the-blank exercises.
