According to Decrypt, the latest Federal Election Commission (FEC) documents show that the crypto exchange Cryptocom donated another $5 million to the MAGA Inc. super PAC supporting Trump in January of this year, bringing its total contributions to the PAC over the past year to $35 million. In the weeks following the latest donation, Cryptocom received favorable decisions from multiple U.S. regulatory agencies. Last week, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) intervened in the lawsuit between Cryptocom and Nevada regarding sports prediction markets and filed a motion in support of the company; additionally, a U.S. Department of the Treasury agency conditionally approved Cryptocom’s national trust bank license application this Monday.
