Ethereum's role as a public-good infrastructure demands a fundamental rethinking of its value proposition. Rather than chasing incremental improvements, the network should prioritize enabling genuine economic flows over extracting transaction fees. The focus needs to shift from maximizing throughput metrics to enabling reliable economic settlement—where finality and security matter more than raw transaction counts.

Long-term value creation should take precedence over short-term revenue optimization. This means building systems that minimize trust requirements progressively, rather than rushing to monetize every layer. True success lies in attracting institutional participation through proven stability and utility, not through competing on chain-to-chain performance benchmarks. The path forward is about sustainable infrastructure, not speed wars.

Well said, finally someone dares to speak the truth. Stop the crazy trap of TPS, figure out your positioning before you speak.

Well said, this is the right path. Don't just talk about TPS every day, the truly useful infrastructure should be as solid as a rock. I fully agree, compared to the pursuit of虚的交易量, ordinary people care more about whether they can use it with peace of mind. This hits the nail on the head, some chains are competing just for the sake of competition, resulting in a loss of trust instead. Hmm, only long-termism can go far; those who rush to earn quick money will ultimately fall into pits. To put it bluntly, safety is the primary productivity, right? No matter how high the throughput, it's all just clouds. The same principle applies in Machine Learning, stability outweighs everything. I agree, what institutions really need is infrastructure that allows for a good night's sleep, not extravagant promises. Sounds good, but the reality is that capital wants to realize profits quickly...

You are right, this circle is indeed restless. Every day, there's talk about trading volume and speed, but there are actually very few that are truly usable. If Ethereum still wants to be the ceiling of public chains, it needs to return to its essence.

To put it simply, stop obsessing over TPS and focus on doing a good job with the settlement layer, that's the right way to go.
