#美国SEC代币化股票交易计划 Why is the cryptocurrency market so bleak at the end of $BTC ?

In the past two months, the entire crypto space has been shrouded in gloom. Bitcoin has fallen to around $88,535, with a decline of over 5% for the year. The situation with Ethereum is even worse—Q4 alone saw a drop of 28.07%, far exceeding expectations. The market fear index has dropped to 21, which is a level associated with "extreme fear." Such a December market performance is indeed the worst since the 2018 bear market.

Institutional investors have started to hype up the "winter is here." The end-of-year rally did not materialize; instead, expectations of Federal Reserve rate cuts changed, causing market confidence to plummet. Funding in the track and trading enthusiasm have cooled across the board, and even many seasoned investors are beginning to doubt the market.

But interestingly, behind the crisis, opportunities are also brewing.

On one hand, smart money has not completely exited. Mainstream public chains like Ethereum attracted about $4.2 billion in net inflows this year, indicating that institutional confidence in underlying infrastructure remains. On the other hand, there is a continuous wave of spot ETF applications—AAVE, UNI, TAO, among others, are pushing for compliance conversions, and Grayscale is even exploring new paths to convert TAO trusts into ETFs.

On the technical side, progress has not stopped. New-generation public chains like Sui and BNB Chain have released development roadmaps for 2026, competing fiercely in high-performance and compliance tracks.

From a technical perspective, Bitcoin is currently oscillating between support at $86,000 and resistance at $89,000. Whether it can hold the support level may determine the overall short-term market sentiment.

Anyway, the market is indeed very cold right now. But history tells us that the projects with real value often shine brightest during the winter. By 2026, the era of widespread price increases may truly come to an end, replaced by a phase of structural differentiation and selective track focus. Projects with solid fundamentals will stand out in this differentiation.

Cold winter? I think it's the season for gold rush, smart money is already lurking at the lows. ETH has dropped 28% which is indeed scary, but a net inflow of 4.2 billion indicates that institutions are not panicking and are quietly accumulating. The dream of a broad rally in 2026 should be awakened; it's all about fundamentals now. Hey, what do you think will happen if we can't hold 86,000? The market is cold, but this is exactly the time for trash projects to exit and good projects to replenish their reserves. Institutions are all pushing for ETF compliance, which shows they have been optimistic about the long term for a while. True strength is revealed in the cold winter; those still here are believers.

Isn't this the opportunity to pick up bargains in the cold winter? Smart money has already been laying low. --- Another bear market talk. Is this time really different? --- If you can't hold the bottom, just go ahead and eat dirt, everyone. --- ETH has dropped 28%, yet some still remain optimistic. The laid-back holders are really out of line. --- Instead of waiting for a broad rally in 2026, why not select a few fundamentally solid projects now and hold tight? --- Institutions are laying low with ETF conversions. What can retail investors do... --- If 86K can hold, at least give us some psychological comfort. --- Cold as it is, this wave of cooling financing is quite harsh, and the quality of projects can be seen at a glance. --- What does $4.2 billion in net inflows indicate? Major investors still believe in public chains. --- How many times has the opportunity in the cold winter been blown? In the end, it's just the usual routine of cutting leeks.

Talking about winter opportunities again? Hearing it so often is true Honestly, a 28% drop is really emo, but if you can't hold the 8.6 level, all opportunities are pointless Those who boast about "smart money entering the market" are really good at making things up

Cold winter? I see it as a filtering period. Smart money has been lurking at low levels for a long time. It's the same old story, just history repeating itself. Wait until 2026, then you'll know who bet right. I didn't lose much when I sold, and now I'm even more calm... Maybe this is the mindset that a bear market should have. Institutions are hoarding public chains, retail investors are still debating where the bottom is—what a gap. The 28% drop in ETH... I just lay flat, anyway, it can't change anything. Before a bottom consensus is reached, no matter how many stories you tell, it's all useless. A net inflow of 4.2 billion sounds good, but do you know how many times it has shrunk compared to two years ago? I'm optimistic about TAO turning into an ETF; Grayscale really has found a new path. If $86K can't hold, where's the next support? No need to ask—it's just going to keep falling. Selective track differentiation? Nice words—most coins are going to die.

nah this market rn is literally like a michelin restaurant during ingredient shortage... everyone's panicking but the real chefs know exactly when to restock. honestly the structural separation coming in 2026 hits different - it's basically farm-to-fork verification for tokens lol

Here comes the bearish talk about the crypto market again... but honestly, this time it's quite intense, with a 28% drop that’s hard to bear. Can the 88k level hold? It feels like this support is the key. Smart money hasn't left, which is somewhat reassuring; the underlying logic is still there. Winter? It's just the beginning of a curated track, let the trash projects die if they must. The ETF wave is coming, and this institutional trend is unstoppable. Old hands are all doubting whether they should withdraw... I'm also torn. Is the 2026 bull run coming to an end? What do we do after that? Projects with solid fundamentals will emerge, but finding them is too exhausting. It sounds good, but ultimately, it still depends on whether the coin price can rise.

In the cold winter, smart money is actually bottoming out, which is the true difference in pattern. Talking about stories again, a net inflow of 4.2 billion from institutions—are we just going to ignore the 28% drop? Looking forward to the 2026 divergence market; now is the time to pick up bargains. If 88,000 can't hold, it might really break down; it seems like it will fall further. The ETF trend is rising; this round of compliant strategies seems to be really starting. No matter how nicely you put it, it doesn't change the fact that we're currently trapped. Bottom signals are becoming more and more obvious; just waiting for that big bullish candle.
