Has the energy market finally moved beyond the doom-laden crude oil glut scenarios that dominated headlines? Recent OPEC+ supply balance data is hinting at a shift. Tracking the rolling two-quarter outlook shows surplus estimates are beginning to moderate their trajectory. The market still carries surplus characteristics, but the intensity of oversupply pressures appears to be easing. This recalibration in supply fundamentals could reshape near-term energy sector dynamics and broader commodity market valuations.

Supply pressure easing? I think this is just the market's self-soothing script again. As soon as OPEC+ speaks, oil prices rebound. Whether it's true or not still depends on the data.
