On the first day of the New Year back to work, many people are still recovering. I was just thinking of an interesting question—
Recently, everyone has been talking more about the two projects, Kindred and OpenMind. Kindred focuses on AI companions, while OpenMind is working on a robot interoperability system. These two paths seem to have a bit of a collision.
Looking at it from a different angle, if Kindred's AI companions really become a product, could robots become the most ideal physical carriers? AI companions need an interactive interface with warmth, and robots have both computing systems and the ability to achieve physical interaction... such a combination seems capable of sparking new ideas.

Hey, wait a minute. Will the cost of the robot platform explode? Can ordinary people afford to play with it?

Actually, it's a bit too early for robots to serve as physical carriers. Currently, Kindred hasn't even perfected the software experience yet.

Oh wow, the combination of Kindred and robots is actually quite interesting, but I think we should wait a bit longer.
Honestly, with these AI companion projects from Kindred, I haven't seen any particularly impressive interactive experiences so far.
Don't go for flashy stuff first; focus on building a solid foundation.

To be honest, Kindred's AI companion needs robots to really come to life; otherwise, it's just an advanced chatbot and not very interesting.

I have to say, this idea really hits the mark. The combination of robots and AI companions has a natural synergy, but I'm not sure if it will actually deliver when implemented.

Haha, I think I need to wait and see more about robot companions. It feels like there's a bit too much hype right now.
But if it really comes together, the potential is indeed quite vast.

Robot companions, it sounds a bit sci-fi and a little scary... But on the other hand, if it really becomes a reality, can it make money?
