PANews January 4 News, according to Cryptopolitan, a sophisticated phishing attack targeting Cardano users is spreading announcements disguised as the “Eternl Desktop” wallet, tricking users into downloading malicious MSI files containing remote control tools. The attackers mimic official language and cite NIGHT and ATMA token incentives, using the domain download.eternldesktop.network to distribute unsigned installers. Security researchers reveal that the file contains the LogMeIn Resolve component, which can enable remote command execution and persistent system control. Users are advised to only obtain wallet software through official channels.
