Proximar Seafood AS (PROXI.OL) has announced a significant change in its Board leadership. Viggo Halseth will assume the position of Chair, taking over from Kjell-Erik Østdahl, who will step down effective January 1, 2026.
Viggo Halseth brings extensive credentials to the role, with nearly four decades of experience spanning the aquaculture feed sector. His professional background includes prominent leadership positions at major industry players. At Nutreco, he served as Chief Innovation Officer, while at Skretting—a key player in the aquaculture nutrition space—he held the positions of CEO for Skretting Norway and Chief Executive of the Skretting Group.
Halseth’s appointment represents continuity with institutional knowledge, as he has served on Proximar Seafood’s Board since 2022. He will remain in the Chair position until the next General Meeting of the company.
The transition marks a planned succession at the Oslo-listed seafood company, with Østdahl completing his tenure after leading the organization through recent strategic initiatives.
