I recently came across an interesting old article, a Bitcoin science popularization piece published by Manus founders over ten years ago. 2013—exactly thirteen years ago. Looking at the discussions from those years and comparing them to the current market situation and cognitive iteration, it really feels like crossing several eras. From the earliest basic concept explanations to now the landing of various ecosystems like DeFi, NFT, Layer2, the development speed of this industry is truly outrageous. Some of the early viewpoints now read as industry consensus, while others seem particularly naive, but regardless, this record itself is very valuable—it documents every step of the crypto world moving from the fringe to the mainstream.

An article from 2013 now looks like it’s from the Stone Age. Back then, people were still debating whether Bitcoin was a scam or not, haha.

The articles from 2013 do seem a bit outdated now, and those discussions have all become standard answers haha

The articles from 2013 still seem amazing now; back then, it was unimaginable that things would be so competitive now.

Articles from the 2013 crypto circle are indeed now considered historical documents. Back then, even basic concepts needed to be explained; now they are common knowledge. But to be honest, some early坚持 and logic are still correct today, only the form has changed. The pace of evolution over these thirteen years is truly top-tier.

13 years, from back then when "What the heck is Bitcoin" to now with all kinds of layers flying around, it's really a bit crazy.

The rhetoric from 2013 does seem a bit 😅 now, but back then, those who dared to write about these things were truly prophets, much better than the current bunch of self-media relying on popularity to survive.
