Walrus's recent fundraising activities are indeed worth paying attention to. $140 million in funding has been secured, with the valuation once surpassing $2 billion, which is not low in the storage sector.

Interestingly, Mysten Labs (the core development team behind Sui) is directly managing this project, and from the beginning, they have defined Walrus as a storage infrastructure within the Sui ecosystem rather than an independent competing product. This positioning is very important.

Looking at the investors' approach, they are betting not on short-term hype but on a judgment: decentralized storage must follow the path of "faster, cheaper, more usable." Compared to mature solutions like Filecoin and Arweave that have been in the market for years, Walrus is taking a differentiated route—centered around two words: low cost and programmability.

In simple terms, this is about redefining storage solutions through technological and cost advantages. Currently, the price of $WAL is relatively low, which to some extent reflects the market's valuation suppression of such infrastructure projects. But from the ongoing institutional investments, this may be a signal of early positioning—they are betting on the long-term infrastructure value of the storage sector.

I agree with the position signal, but is WAL's current price really just a low point... --- Backed by Mysten Labs, there is still some weight to it; it all depends on whether they can truly deliver. --- Low-cost programmability sounds good, but Filecoin isn't sitting idle either. --- The investors are betting on long-term success, which isn't wrong; the problem is, can we retail investors wait that long? Haha. --- What is the current valuation of 2 billion? That's the real focus... --- I think the Sui ecosystem's positioning as a storage infrastructure is smart; there's no need to directly compete with the big players. --- Wait, is it a low point or a breakdown? The difference is significant. --- Institutional deployment is a signal, but it could also just be a hedge; don't be too optimistic. --- In terms of programmability, Arweave hasn't really nailed it yet; there's room for growth. --- 1.4 billion in funding sounds substantial, but the storage sector also burns money fiercely.

The Sui ecosystem has taken new steps again. Mysten Labs's move is quite good, directly integrating Walrus into the system to avoid the need for competition and benchmarking. Low cost and programmability are indeed key to differentiating, making it much more appealing than the old-fashioned Filecoin solution. However, I wonder if this institutional deployment can truly wait for the storage sector's breakout period. What if it's just another round of localized hype, haha.

The storage card of the Sui ecosystem, Mysten Labs is making its own moves, and the prospects are indeed worth looking forward to. --- Walrus's recent financing logic is quite clear, it's not hype but a genuine infrastructure approach. --- With a valuation of 2 billion and 140 million in funding... this price point is indeed a good opportunity for institutional deployment. --- Lower costs and programmability, compared to the old routines of Filecoin, it really has some substance. --- Institutions are still quietly adding positions, indicating they are not here to gamble on the short term. --- The storage track needs someone to break the existing pattern; let's see if Walrus can make it happen. --- $WAL is really undervalued at this price now, giving institutions a freebie discount. --- Sui's own storage infrastructure, this is the true ecological complement. --- The problem with storage projects is still adoption rate; no matter how advanced the technology is, it needs users. --- Instead of chasing high prices for Filecoin, it's better to look at Walrus's new approach.

Mysten Labs directly managing operations is really impressive; this just shows the difference in ecosystem positioning. However, Wufish is still too new. The old-timers at Filecoin have long mastered the market, and Walrus will really need to prove its technical strength to turn things around. Low-cost has been talked about for years; the key still depends on TPS and actual user volume, otherwise it's all empty talk. By the way, are you really holding Wufish until now? I was already a bit hesitant when it was valued at 2 billion. Betting on the long-term value of infrastructure sounds good, but I'm just worried it might be another big pie painted by the fundraising side. Let's wait and see.

It's another story in the Sui ecosystem. Mysten Labs's move is indeed interesting, but Filecoin has already tried the low-cost storage route. How did that turn out? Can Walrus really break through? I'm a bit skeptical. Wait, with the current price of $WAL... are institutions accumulating?

140 million in funding is not small, but claiming a valuation of 2 billion is really bold. Are they betting on the long-term value of infrastructure or just another bubble?

To be honest, Mysten Labs made a bold move by directly tying Walrus to the Sui ecosystem. It's not even about independent competition; this is essentially an ecosystem setup... Investing $140 million with a valuation of $2 billion, especially in the storage sector, is indeed quite expensive.

Mysten Labs managing their own operations is actually the key; the competitors are ecosystem infrastructure. This approach is indeed clear-headed. The two points of low-cost programmability really impress me. It's much more practical than Filecoin's complex economic model. WAL is still quietly being bought by institutions at this price point, indicating they believe this is long-term infrastructure rather than short-term profit.

Low-cost programmability sounds good, but I don't know if it can really be implemented.

Mysten Labs' operation strategy is clever—either independent projects or ecosystem tools. Empowering the entire Sui ecosystem in this way, I see this as a long-term strategic move.
