Five years. Since entering the industry, it's really been almost five years.
Initially, I expected this wave to break the million-dollar mark, but since October, my account hasn't been at peace—oscillations, shrinkage, and even a 5% drawdown. The more I think about it, the more I doubt myself: Is the problem with the strategy itself, or is this market truly experiencing a cyclical slowdown?
Sometimes I really want to give up and find a stable job. This state of being stuck in the middle is more tormenting than the losses themselves.
But then I think, maybe this is the market teaching me something. Over five years, I've accumulated not just account figures but also an understanding of volatility. The current predicament might be just preparation for the next phase.

Five years of struggling here, honestly I really admire that, I don't have that patience.
A 5% pullback can make you so anxious, how torturous that must be. I'm already numb haha.
Wait, are you talking about your own account or observing big players? I'm a bit lost.
Don't look for a job, jobs are even more uncomfortable.
This cycle definitely feels a bit strange, you're not the only one confused.
The strategy is fine, it's just the market throwing a tantrum.

Been here for five years, truly something, but this wave of pullback is really tough.

Five years and still not a million, this market is really terrible.

honestly the path dependency here is kinda brutal... five years in and still stuck in this sub-optimal incentive structure. like, historically precedent suggests these consolidation phases precede major regime shifts, but yeah that doesn't exactly pay your bills rn does it

Only a 5% pullback in five years? Bro, your mindset has already won, really.
