The first few years after entering the circle, I couldn’t sleep at night, my mind was full of losing orders, and my debts were outrageously high. Now, although I don’t have any special talent or good luck, I rely on a simple and straightforward method, and my trading results are still decent.

Basically, it boils down to these points: don’t look at flashy indicators, don’t believe in rumors, and stick to highly actionable strategies. Beginners can follow these directly, which helps avoid many detours.

**Level One: Capital Protection is the Bottom Line**

No matter how good your strategy is, a single liquidation wipes everything out. So you must do this:

Gradually enter the market — start with 2000 USD capital, try no more than 500 USD per trade, and strictly keep total position size within 20%. Fixed stop-loss — exit after a 3% loss on a single trade, no hesitation. Leverage — beginners should avoid it altogether; experienced traders should keep it within 10%. Just this rule alone can avoid most liquidation risks.

**Level Two: Execution is More Valuable Than Being Smart**

Making money in the market isn’t about doing more, but about doing it right.

One-way trading — only go long or only go short, avoid flipping back and forth, which immediately improves success rate. Mechanical execution — set a 3% stop-loss and an 8% take-profit in advance, don’t judge on the spot. Control frequency — the first 1-2 trades of the day are the highest quality; more than 3 trades usually just give away money.

**Level Three: These Pitfalls Are Deadly**

Never add to a position against the trend; each addition gets you closer to liquidation. Transaction fees can eat up most profits, so reduce unnecessary trades. Most importantly: profits aren’t real until they hit your wallet. The mindset of "it can still go up" often leads to most liquidations.

**Numbers Speak**

With the same 1800 USD capital, wrong methods like full position + high leverage + averaging against the trend + holding through losses result in liquidation. Correct approach: use 1200 USD as the base, set a 3% stop-loss and an 8% take-profit, only do two high-quality trades per week, and achieve a steady 12% monthly return. Compound interest can then reach over 200% annually.

**Remember These Six Rules**

What to do: use spare funds, stay disciplined, trade unidirectionally. What not to do: go all-in, hold against the trend, or block both ends.

Ultimately, futures trading is not a casino. Those who gamble with living expenses for the future often end up dead in the middle. Only by protecting your principal and surviving long enough do you qualify to talk about "big money" in this market.

3% stop loss, 8% take profit. It sounds simple, but few can actually execute it.

Really, the 3% stop-loss is the hardest to execute; human nature is just greed...

Damn, I knew about the 3% stop loss long ago, the key is my hand trembling—whenever I see a dip, I want to buy the dip.

Ha, there's nothing wrong with that, but too many people just won't listen.

A 3% stop-loss is really a lifeline. I used to be the kind of person who held onto losing positions, and thinking back now, it still gives me chills.

That's so true, the 3% stop-loss is a painful lesson I learned.
