But I have to be honest—this is precisely the most dangerous time. Every time I see news about this "revolutionary growth," I think back to the days when I got burned. The expansion of the stablecoin market itself isn’t a problem; the issue is that once capital catches the scent of this cake, various so-called "innovative stablecoins," "super stablecoins," and "next-generation payment stablecoins" will start flying everywhere.

I won’t say the prediction that Solana’s stablecoin will surpass 1 trillion by 2026 is wrong, but such forecasts are most likely to be used by some project teams as "market endorsement" to trap retail investors. By then, you’ll see how many "new stablecoins" launch under the banner of "seizing a trillion-dollar market," and what’s behind them is anyone’s guess.

The real drivers of growth are payment demand and institutional applications; I agree with this logic. But when retail investors participate, they must always ask themselves one question: Why is this stablecoin stable? Where are the reserves? If the answer is vague or involves complex algorithms, then it’s time to be cautious.

Breaking 2 trillion by 2028 is a nice dream, but don’t get your kidneys cut in the dream.
