When it comes to token unlock schedules hitting the market, not every event deserves your attention on the futures side. Here's my take: I'm selective—only jumping into futures trading when we're looking at a Cliff Unlock scenario where the unlock volume exceeds 25% of daily trading volume. That's when things get interesting from a volatility standpoint.

But if you're playing the long game and stacking for the future? Different approach entirely. Token unlock dynamics matter just as much, maybe even more. You want to map out these major unlock events in advance—understanding which coins face substantial unlocks and when they're coming. This intel lets you make smarter decisions about entry points and position sizing.

The key is knowing the difference between what matters for swing traders hunting short-term moves versus what matters for holders thinking quarters and years ahead. One unlock threshold triggers opportunity; the other demands patience and strategy optimization.

25% release amount before taking action? That's a bit high of a threshold. I usually start getting restless at 20%...

I think the 25% threshold is a bit conservative... It obviously depends on the liquidity of the coin itself. Some small coins can be dumped with just one unlock, while some large coins don't really care.

I agree with the figure of 25%, but only through actual experience do you understand what a true supply line break really means. --- Major unlocks are never a one-size-fits-all situation; those who know how to choose the battlefield tend to live longer. --- Short-term hunters and long-term accumulators are playing two completely different games. Confusing the two will only lead to market lessons. --- Doing your homework before the unlock is much cheaper than regretting afterward. Over the past few years, I've survived mainly because of this. --- If you haven't experienced a 25% surge, you're not qualified to discuss risk management. That is the real battlefield. --- Beyond the fundamentals of the coin, look at the unlock schedule. Missing one of these two dimensions can easily lead to a crash. --- Treat differently; this is the essence of trading—knowing when to attack and when to lie low.

Is only 25% unlock worth considering? I feel like most coins don't reach this threshold...

The 25% unlock threshold is indeed tough, but in reality, how many can hit the mark precisely...

Only unlock at 25%? That threshold is really harsh; most people have already been wiped out long ago.
