Remember the trend followers during the Filecoin craze? The logic behind that storage race wasn't wrong; the problem lay in two words: too expensive. Efficiency also couldn't keep up.

Looking back now at Walrus's approach, using RS erasure coding to compress data redundancy aggressively, this seems more like the right path. It's not some black technology; it's just applying proven solutions to key points.

Interestingly, projects using certain distributed storage platforms have been very active recently—many are migrating to Walrus. Such technological shifts are usually not decided on a whim; behind them are teams calculating costs and efficiency. Decisions about where and how to store data are generally very cautious.

The storage race has never lacked ideas; what’s missing is a solution that balances cost and performance. Maybe this time, it’s truly different.

I've always said that Filecoin is just a money-burning machine. Now that Walrus is here, I finally understand what it means to find the right direction.

I see through that wave of Filecoin; the logic is sound, but the cost control is ridiculously poor. Walrus's approach with RS erasure coding really hits the key point, and once you calculate the efficiency, it's clear why the project is migrating. In data storage, the key factors are always private key management and cost configuration, and this time we might have really hit the mark.

I also chased that round of Filecoin, but it was just too disappointing, haha.

If I had known early that Filecoin would end up like this, why did I follow the trend back then?

I also followed that wave of Filecoin, and looking back now, it was just paying tuition fees, really ridiculously expensive. Right now, Walrus is migrating various major projects there, which clearly indicates they've hit the pain points. But we still need to see what happens next; I've stepped into too many pits in the storage sector. Can it hold up this time? I find it hard to believe.

Another storage track? I've been holding FIL for three years and haven't broken even yet. Now you're telling me that Walrus is "really different" this time?

Already saw that Filecoin can't be played anymore, now Walrus is coming to save the day?
