Abstract generation in progress

The world’s largest technology company, Alphabet (Google’s parent organization), plans to significantly increase its presence in India. According to media reports, it is working on plans to lease over one million square meters of modern office space in Bangalore, a key technology hub in the country. This decision indicates serious investments in developing the Indian market and attracting talent.

Ambitious Project in the Technology Corridor

Insiders revealed details: Alphabet has already secured one office building in the Elm Vibe City project and has options on two additional buildings. The entire complex is part of the prestigious Whitfield Technology Corridor, which covers a total area of 2.4 million square feet. This corridor has long established itself as one of the most attractive locations for technology companies in Asia. The first facility is scheduled to open to employees in the coming months, with the completion of the other two buildings expected within the next year.

Workforce Growth Plans: From Current 14,000 to 20,000

If Alphabet fully utilizes all the planned spaces, the campus could accommodate approximately 20,000 new specialists. This means a potential more than doubling of the company’s current headcount in the region. Currently, the company employs about 14,000 people in India, and its global workforce exceeds 190,000 employees. This expansion underscores the strategic importance of the Indian market for Alphabet and demonstrates confidence in long-term growth in the region.
