If I had to choose one TradFi asset for an on-chain trade right now, I would go with gold.

Here's why:

1. Protection from uncertainty. Currently, markets (both crypto and traditional) are jittery due to news about interest rates, inflation, and geopolitics. Gold is a classic "safe haven." Holding it in a 24/7 portfolio means having the ability to hedge at any moment, without waiting for the LSE or NYSE to open on Monday morning, when it might already be too late.
2. Arbitrage and convenience. The price of gold on-chain often follows the spot price, but during weekends or holidays when traditional exchanges are closed, micro-discrepancies can occur. The ability to buy PAXG on Sunday evening if, in light of some news, gold futures have already gone up — is a significant advantage.
3. Liquidity. This isn't a meme coin; liquidity in pools with tokenized gold is deep enough to enter with normal volumes without significant slippage.

As for tokenization on Gate: the next ideal asset would be U.S. Treasuries. (US Treasuries). The demand for on-chain yield without crypto volatility is huge right now. Making U.S. bonds easily accessible to USDT holders, just like swapping a token, would "kill" the stablecoin market with their yields.
