• Claude did experience a real, global service outage today.
• Anthropic has acknowledged a technical disruption causing elevated errors.
• There is no credible evidence that any Anthropic data centers or servers were physically attacked.
Separately:
Recent reporting claims that the U.S. military may have used Claude AI tools for intelligence analysis and planning support related to strikes on Iran.
That does not mean:
– Anthropic has “joined the war”
– Claude is directly participating in military operations
– The outage is linked to any physical attack
