Kim Dae-cheon 3.17 Gold Morning Analysis

Gold prices continued to weaken overnight with oscillations. After exploring a bottom of 4967 last night, it rebounded in a V-shape to around 5020 and faced pressure again. In early trading, it consolidated slightly around the 5000 level. The small-level rebound was only for indicator repair and did not reverse the bearish trend, with short-term weakness persisting.

From a macro trend perspective, the Federal Reserve's March rate decision is approaching, rate cut expectations continue to cool, and the strong US dollar and Treasury yields are suppressing gold prices. Institutions are taking profits at high levels, the golden weekly-level death cross continues, and multiple bearish factors converge. Early morning today maintains a bearish view, with rebounds serving as shorting opportunities.

Operationally, short around 5030-5050 on rebounds, with stop loss defense above 5065, targeting 4980-4960, and watching for a breakdown below 4880.
