Ethereum bull and Liquid Capital founder Yi Lihua's associated wallet is suspected of shorting 27,000 ETH through Aave collateralized lending, equivalent to a market value exceeding $57 million. The relevant ETH has been transferred to exchanges for dumping operations.
Previously, Yi Lihua had consistently bullish views on Ethereum, once holding a heavy position of 658,100 ETH. During this bear market cycle, due to continued price declines, he suffered massive losses exceeding $680 million and exited his positions. The shift from staunch bull to large-scale shorting represents a dramatic reversal in both rhetoric and operations, triggering market panic sentiment regarding ETH's future trajectory and significantly intensifying short-term ETH volatility.
