Spezialisiert auf alternative Vermögensverwaltung und verwaltet Vermögenswerte im Wert von 938 Milliarden US-Dollar – die Wall-Street-Institution Apollo Global Management vertieft ihre Aktivitäten im Bereich Kryptowährungen und DeFi. Neueste Meldungen besagen, dass Apollo eine Partnerschaft mit dem DeFi-Kreditprotokoll Morpho eingegangen ist, bei der in den nächsten vier Jahren bis zu 90 Millionen MORPHO-Token gekauft werden können.
Gemäß der von beiden Parteien unterzeichneten Kooperationsvereinbarung kann Apollo und seine verbundenen Unternehmen MORPHO-Token auf verschiedene Weisen erwerben, darunter durch den öffentlichen Markt und außerbörsliche Transaktionen (OTC), wobei jedoch die Token-Beschränkungen und Übertragungsbedingungen eingehalten werden müssen.
Das Dokument weist außerdem darauf hin, dass Galaxy Digital UK in diesem Deal als exklusiver Finanzberater für Morpho fungiert.
90 Millionen Token entsprechen 9 % des gesamten MORPHO-Token-Angebots. Wenn die vollständige Zuweisung erfolgt, bedeutet dies, dass Apollo auf der Governance-Ebene des Protokolls erheblichen Einfluss gewinnen wird.
Diese Partnerschaft beschränkt sich nicht nur auf Token-Investitionen. Apollo und Morpho kündigten auch gemeinsam an, dass beide Seiten die Unterstützung für den auf dem Morpho-Protokoll basierenden On-Chain-Kreditmarkt gemeinsam vorantreiben werden.
Tatsächlich ist diese Transaktion nur ein Teil der jüngsten Blockchain-Expansionsstrategie von Apollo. Im vergangenen Jahr hat Apollo bereits eine siebenstellige US-Dollar-Investition in das Projekt PLUME getätigt, das darauf abzielt, traditionelle Finanzprodukte auf die Blockchain zu bringen.
